Kelly M. Dermody is a partner in the San Francisco office of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, one of the nation’s leading firms representing plaintiffs in complex civil litigation. Dermody chairs the firm’s Employment Practice, specializing in class and collective actions on behalf of employees. She is a nationally recognized advocate in cases involving pay equity, #metoo, and diversity and inclusion, as well as discrimination in hiring and promotion. She has successfully represented people working at companies including Abercrombie & Fitch, Home Depot, and Smith Barney. She has won numerous awards, and the legal newspaper The Recorder dubbed her the “Giant Slayer” for her litigation work. Dermody graduated with honors from Harvard University in 1990 and UC Berkeley School of Law in 1993. She clerked for U.S. District Judge John T. Nixon in Nashville before joining Lieff Cabraser.
