This event is an opportunity for University of California, Irvine School of Law faculty, staff, students, alumni, local attorneys, community organizers and interested members of the public to come together to discuss the opportunities to advocate for justice in a variety of areas of law. The event serves as an annual gathering for those concerned about the effects of those current government decisions at local, state and national levels that affect civil rights, human rights and the rule of law.
The teach-in focuses not only on the state of the law, but also on opportunities for transformative social justice work. Speakers and attendees are encouraged to share ideas.
